PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CROWN FINE ARTS LAUNCHES NEW WEB SITE IN THREE LANGUAGES Crown Supports Museums, Art Galleries and Private Collectors with Art Packing, Hanging & Transportation Services PARIS, July 22, 2008—Crown Fine Arts, a fine arts transportation company with operations in over 200 locations worldwide, has launched a new Web site, crownfineart.com. It is available in English, French and Italian and will be launched in Mandarin later this year. Crown Fine Arts has been providing specialized fine arts packing and transportation services since 1989. The new site was developed to add another dimension to the information available to museum curators, art gallery owners and private art collectors who understand the special challenges associated with the delicate art of packing, crating, hanging and transporting paintings, sculptures and other fine art works from one exhibition to another. In a section called “Art in Motion,” the site provides examples of the many projects Crown Fine Arts has managed. One example is “Unveiling Salvador Dali: The Prestige Clot Collection.” Sofia Gaspar, the owner of a Hong Kong Art Gallery unveiled the collection at Crown Wine Cellars in Hong Kong. Each sculpture was created by Dali's own hands from 1969 to 1976. Crown Fine Arts packed and transported the collection, from Spain to Hong Kong, and set up the exhibition. Another example: Musée du Louvre (The Louvre) in Paris and Palace Museum in Beijing organized a "Napoleon" exhibition consisting of 130 pieces of art including 12 paintings (one of which was 280 x 230 cm or 9 feet x 7.5 feet) and 30 sculptures (one weighing over 950 kg or a ton). Crown Fine Arts managed all the packing and transportation services from Paris to Beijing. This entailed the construction of customized crates used for transporting the large and heavy artworks, as well as courier and customs coordination. Crown Board member, David Muir, who is based in Prague, commented, "Crown Fine Arts is the world's first truly global network under common ownership, with systems and standard operating procedures that are designed to deliver a seamless service 'nail to nail.' Our customers are as varied as the artwork itself, and our challenge is to exceed expectations and meet impossible deadlines. We are uniquely placed to deliver on this promise.” Crown operates from over 200 locations around the world with “Fine Arts Centers of Excellence” in New York, Paris, London, Milan, Dubai, Hong Kong and Beijing. A full list of these Crown locations and contact information is listed on Crown’s new Web site. To learn more about Crown Fine Arts, please visit our new Web site at www.crownfineart.com.
