"Julian Schnabel’s Collection," New York to Hong Kong
Client: 10 Chancery Lane Gallery
Event: Julian Schnabel’s Collection
Place: From New York to Hong Kong
Great American artist and filmmaker Julian Schnabel, toured the world with his paintings, starting off in Beijing and then moving on to Hong Kong, Shanghai, Seoul and eventually back to New York. In Hong Kong, his show was organized by David Tang and Katie de Tilly of 10 Chancery Lane Gallery in Central Hong Kong.
Crown was called upon for the delivery and hoisting of 39 pieces of artwork which consisted of 12 crates (1,800 cubic feet in volume). Some of the artwork was extra large in size and some were heavy ceramic sculptures.
Besides managing the delivery to the West Warwick House in Quarry Bay, Hong Kong Island East, the team of eight Crown professionals also worked with the art specialist that arrived from New York on the installation of all the artworks. This entailed four days of stretching the canvasses onto the frames and hanging the pictures on the walls.
