Transport of Everland Hotel, Paris to Switzerland
Client: Artists Sabina Lang and Daniel Baumann
Event: Transport of Everland Hotel
Place: Paris to Switzerland
The Crown Fine Arts team in Paris managed the transport of an exceptionally heavy work of art– the Everland Hotel. The artwork, which is both a single room hotel and a contemporary artwork, created by the artists Sabina Lang and Daniel Baumann, has most recently been installed on the roof top of the "Palais de Tokyo" in Paris.
A 320 ton crane was used to lift this 10 ton structure 50 meters above the building. The crane required seven feeding trucks to support the weigh and could only be operated at a maximum speed of 60 km per hour (about 37 mph). Thanks to Crown’s vast experience in handling heavy artworks, the structure has been transported successfully from Paris to its final destination in Switzerland.
