30 men transport 15 tons of artworkOctober 30, 2014
On October 16 – 19, 2014, 1:54 welcomed art collectors and critics from across the globe to Somerset House, London – to the second edition of the first international art fair dedicated exclusively to contemporary African art.
Crown Fine Art trucks delivered over 15 tons of artwork for the
1:54 exhibition before sunrise
1:54 is a platform for artists, galleries, curators, art centers and museums dedicated to promoting African and Africa-related art projects.
This year, visitors experienced a range of African aesthetics, including the work of the late J.D. Okhai Ojeikere. The fair also provided visitors with the opportunity to explore a rapidly-emerging contemporary art market with exhibitors originating from Kenya, South Africa, France, Italy, Germany, the UK and the U.S. Click here for more information on the 1:54 Contemporary African Art Fair.
On Monday, October 13, Crown Fine Art UK successfully transported over 15 tons of artwork for the art fair and exhibition. 30 men delicately unloaded and installed the items at the East and West Wings of Somerset House before sunrise – with a detailed and timed plan, we can guarantee that art works are always where you expect them to be!
