Asian art in Europe growsSeptember 12, 2016
A recent article published in artnet news, a global art newswire, highlights the growth of Asian art in Europe.
The article talks about ASIA NOW, Europe’s only fair dedicated to Asian art, which has doubled in size for its second edition in Paris.
Jessye Allain, Crown Fine Art’s Gallery and Auction Coordinator, who is based in Paris said: “I have worked for private collectors, galleries and auction houses for seven years, and during that time I have seen an increase in the Asian business. This is especially so for some Chinese citizens who want their antiques returned to their native land. They buy these pieces so they can offer them to their museums and government. We are seeing growth in items being shipped to China, Malaysia, Taiwan and Japan.”
