Tommy Chan talks ‘collecting art’ in Hong KongJune 20, 2016
Tommy Chan, Regional Director of Hong Kong and Macau, was recently interviewed by HK01*, for a piece entitled “Hong Kong's art collection - Art Warehouse: Local collectors, warehouses in short supply as demand for storage surges.”
In the article, Tommy expresses his view on the rising number of private collectors in Hong Kong, and explains that there are three key areas to a successful art storage: humidity, packing and security. He commented: “The number of private collectors is increasing in Hong Kong, however the majority of houses in Hong Kong are too small to fit in the art pieces, hence many collectors are looking out for storage.”
