The capital city of Malaysia has seen some very dynamic growth in the local art scene since the inception of its first art auction in 2010. The number of local auction houses has grown from one auction house in 2010 to four auction houses by the end of 2013.

The Ministry of Tourism and Culture has been promoting the arts via the 1 Malaysia Contemporary Art Tourism Festival, which started in 2010 and has become an annual event. Activities include art fairs, competitions, auctions and forums to promote contemporary art.

Our purpose-built, secure art vault

The climate in Kuala Lumpur poses a serious threat to the preservation of artwork. Regardless of its value, it’s not a risk worth taking.

You don’t need to gamble with your precious artwork. Our purpose-built, secure vault is climate-controlled, so its contents are never exposed to Malaysian temperature and humidity.
