Crown Fine Art Dubai was recently entrusted with the removal and transportation of a vast private collection, estimated to be worth $500m, from Dubai to a European city.
This was no small collection. Filling three storage facilities and totalling in excess of 5,000 artworks (canvases and sculptures), it was one of the largest art logistics projects ever undertaken.
Gus Van Geijtenbeek, Business Development Manager for Crown Fine Art in the Middle East commented: “This project stretched our resources to maximum capacity – we had 35 people working for four months and I’m very glad the project was a success”.
The whole collection is now safely stored at an undisclosed private facility in Europe. The project’s scale – 5,000 objects, requiring 110 tonnes of airfreight – is a testament to Crown Fine Art Dubai’s project management skills in the region.
