On occasion of “The Short Century” exhibition in the Sharjah Art Museum, our UAE team packed and installed 70 artworks, including acclaimed works such as The Protector of Life, from Hamed Ewais, and The High Dam, from Effat Nagi.
During a three days installation, the local Crown team used its specific fine arts skills to handle old fragile artworks, like Paysage d’Italia from the artist Mohameed Naghi, which was painted in 1914.
“The Short Century,” a term popularised by the historian Eric Hobsbawm to refer to the 20th Century is an exhibition the Sharjah Museum organises together with our regular client Barjeel Art Foundation. Barjeel was originally established to care for, preserve and exhibit the personal art collection of Sultan Sooud Al Qassemi. However, the foundation also contributes greatly to art scene in the Arab region with its publicly accessible art collection.
