My first introduction to the fine art industry came in 1979, when I joined a leading fine art shipper in the UK.
Starting as Assistant Exhibitions Manager, I was quickly promoted over the years, working in a number of roles including Exhibitions Manager, Senior Exhibitions Manager, Head of Exhibitions and General Manager. This has given me valuable knowledge and experience in the areas of exhibition coordination and estimating, people management and training, policy making and quality control, finance, sales and marketing.
In this time I travelled extensively in both the UK and overseas to visit museum clients and agents. In 2005 I was recruited to head up a newly created Museum Services Department for another major fine art shipper in the UK.
I joined Crown following six years experience with that company. I am delighted at this enormous opportunity I have been give to assist our organisation in achieving its goals and objectives. I enjoy the diversity of the work, staff development and being part of a business which is growing.
I was educated in Port Louis Mauritius and migrated to the UK in 1979. I am fluent in French which I enjoy putting to regular use in my everyday work. Outside of work I enjoy travelling, walking, reading, swimming, tennis and relaxing with a game of chess after a hard day’s work.
