Crown Fine Art Hong Kong is excited to have been appointed by the Hong Kong Film Archive (HKFA) as the transportation provider for moving canisters of films and machines from Shanghai to Hong Kong.

The HKFA is an internationally renowned film archive dedicated to preserving Hong Kong's film heritage, facilitating research, and bringing film art to the local community. Its building locates at Sai Wan Ho includes an exhibition hall, a mini cinema, a resource centre, collection vaults and restoration laboratories. The Archive's mission includes collecting, conservation and cataloging Hong Kong films and related materials, providing film and related information for the film industry, researchers, and the general public.

The scale of the relocation included 32 pieces of 20 feet reefer containers from Shanghai to Hong Kong, which contained over 5,500 canisters of films and pallets of film-related machines. Crown Fine Art used specially designed temperature-controlled containers for the safe transportation of the shipment. When the shipment arrived in Hong Kong, all items were temporary stored in the container until they were ready to move in the HKFA’s vault.
