Bringing "Zhai Sheng Ji" to Life Through Art, Culture and Trusted Collaboration

How Crown Fine Art Singapore Supported the Successful Presentation of Zhai Sheng Ji

Art exhibitions are more than the installation of paintings and objects. They are carefully curated experiences that connect audiences with culture, history, and artistic vision. Behind every successful exhibition is a network of specialists working together to ensure that valuable artworks are handled, transported, installed, and presented with the utmost care.

In April 2026, Crown Fine Art Singapore had the privilege of supporting the acclaimed Zhai Sheng Ji (“Chronicles of Living in a House”) exhibition, collaborating closely with curator Pang Hailong to bring this remarkable cultural showcase to life.

As part of our ongoing commitment to preserving and presenting art professionally, Crown Fine Art Singapore provided specialist fine art handling and exhibition support services to ensure the project was delivered seamlessly from planning to opening day.

In the video interview below, Mr Pang Hailong shares the inspiration behind the exhibition, his curatorial vision, and his experience working with Crown Fine Art Singapore throughout the project.

About the Zhai Sheng Ji Exhibition

The “Zhai Sheng Ji” project, founded by the visionary Chinese artist and curator Pang Hailong, is a radical departure from traditional “white cube” galleries. By moving art into private living spaces, specifically the historic B&W House on 7, Grange Road, the exhibition sought to dissolve the boundaries between “art” and “life.”. The exhibition represented a thought-provoking cultural and artistic presentation that invited visitors to engage deeply with its themes, stories, and historical significance.

For any curator, transforming a conceptual vision into a physical exhibition requires meticulous execution. Every artwork, display element, and installation detail contributes to the overall visitor experience. This is where specialist fine art logistics and installation expertise become essential.

From transportation and handling to positioning and installation, each stage must be managed with precision to protect valuable artworks and maintain the integrity of the curator’s vision.

The Challenge: Translating Curatorial Vision into Exhibition Reality

Curating an exhibition involves months, and often years, of research, planning, and coordination.
However, even the most carefully developed concept relies on flawless execution within the exhibition space.

Key considerations often include:
• Safe handling of valuable artworks
• Professional packing and transportation
• Precise installation and positioning
• Tight project timelines
• Coordination among artists, curators, venues, and contractors
• Maintaining strict conservation and handling standards

For the Zhai Sheng Ji exhibition, every detail mattered. The objective was not simply to move artworks from one location to another, but to create an exhibition environment that faithfully reflected the intended narrative and visitor experience.

Crown Fine Art Singapore's Role

Crown Fine Art Singapore partnered closely with the project team, providing specialist support throughout the exhibition preparation and installation process.
